A project for HUMALIT submitted to Kim Bryan Lira.
The word ‘android’ is used in science fiction as a means to refer to robots with a human or human-like appearance. They are usually described as automatons that behave in a manner that is either similar to, and/or reminiscent of human behavior. As such, it is necessary that they have the capability to learn; and in their most advanced form: the capability to ‘feel’.
Many issues arising from the existence of intelligent human-like machines were ignored for the most part of history when their existence had been theorized, but once the first completely human-like automaton opened her eyes, the walls separating human and machine, living and nonliving, as well as emotion and computation, had begun to blur.
